Sei Mani saves Liberty Global €3m by adopting remote working
Liberty Global, the world’s largest international TV and broadband company has more than 47,000 employees in over 30 countries. Their travel costs were more than €32m per annum, and they were looking to make efficiency savings. Liberty Global soon realised that adopting a remote working culture would drive down these costs, and bring their widely-dispersed employees closer together through use of technology. A ‘One Liberty Global’ project was launched to seek a solutions platform. It needed to serve their employees, and achieve dramatic cost savings by reducing operational and travel expenses, whilst boosting productivity.
The tools used
Liberty Global engaged Sei Mani, a leading digital workplace consultancy, to select the video conference solution and optimise the adoption.
Sei Mani conducted an EU-wide audit and built a business case, comparing the return on investment between platforms. Cisco Webex proved to be the best solution, with the highest operational expense savings.
Sei Mani was engaged to drive the adoption of Webex across the whole organisation. The objective was to optimise remote working and collaboration and reduce costs.

Boosting remote working and business agility
In just four months, over 60% of the business had adopted Webex, giving them a more flexible way of collaborating across the global business.
This resulted in major cost savings for the organisation, €2 million per year in travel and €1 million in operational expenses.
